About Davangere University

Davangere University is a public state university which is situated in Davangere, Karnataka, India. The university was established under the Davangere and Chitradurga jurisdiction on 18th August 2009. Davangere University is accredited by NAAC with “B+” Grade and is recognised by UGC. The university is also AICTE-approved and is a member of AIU. There are a total of 124 colleges affiliated with Davangere University which includes one constituent college and one autonomous college. Davangere University courses are offered at graduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels in 5 disciplines. The disciplines which are offered at the university are Arts, Science, Visual Arts, Education, and Commerce & Management Studies. The university conducts its own entrance exam to shortlist candidates for admission. Davangere University  admission to MBA courses seats is done on the basis of the Karnataka PGCET entrance exam. As of the Davangere University placement report 2020-21, a total of 75 students were placed in the PG programme with an average package of Rs 2.7 LPA. Meanwhile, 1 student was placed in the UG program with an average package of 4.8 LPA.

Davangere University is spread across an area of 72.14 acres. There are various facilities offered at the university including an admin block, knowledge plaza, open-air theater, guest house, 6 hostels, and two canteens.
